Joe Abass Bangura Others Face Parliament

Speaking at the session, the Chairman, Committee on Appointments in Parliament, Hon. Ibrahim Bundu allayed the fears of the Presidential nominees stating that the interview was not conducted to witch hunt, but that they were only trying to verify the information of the nominees forwarded to them.

Answering to questions from committee members, the appointed Member of the National Youth Commission, Joe   Abass Bangura said, among other things that he has been yearning to have a platform that would enable him champion youth issues in the country adding that having suffered all through his teenage life, he promised to his best for the youths.

He however assured Members of Parliament that if approved by the Honorable House he would change the face of the National Youth Commission.

Meanwhile, the Paramount Chief’s representative at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation Board, PC Alimamy Bockarie Yallan Koroma the 3rd who was earlier nominated but rejected in his first appearance before committee was asked by the Committee to stand down and to be called upon at a later date. The reason for the Committees decision was however not made known.

Others interviewed include, Mr. Mark Mahmoud Kalokoh appointed as Member, Board of Trustees, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation , Doreen Zephina Faux, Member, Judicial and Legal Service Commission, Rev. Dr. Usman Jesse Fornah Member, Board of Trustees, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation, Rossetta Sovula, Member, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), Rev. Raymond Ayodele Bola- Williams Member, Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA), Parker Kamara, Member, National Tourist Board, and Michael Augustus Collier Member, Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA).
