Mohamed Bangura Out *APPA Gets Female Chair

In her statement, the Interim Chair Lady said APPA is a platform where political parties can share their aspirations geared towards national cohesion. She therefore called on the women and youth to come onboard with their philosophies to transform Sierra Leone for the better.

Madam Teima acknowledged that it is a very herculean task for them as new executives but however assured the APPA membership that they will succeed in the transformation drive of the association and build on the positive foundation built by the out gone interim executive.

She further assured that they will do all within the power vested in them to make the association a vibrant and recognized one within the political landscape of Sierra Leone.

Augusta James Teima went unopposed for the position of chairperson of APP following the stepping down of her contender, Charles Francis Margai, Leader and Chairman of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC).

In his handing over speech, the out gone Interim Chairperson of APPA, Mohamed Bangura pointed out that he was leaving office with mixed-feelings because the position is an enviable one and that he has kept that office very well by giving the association a major facelift.

He said APPA, under his leadership has made tremendous contributions towards national development and the interest of all Sierra Leoneans irrespective of political affiliations.

PDP’s Ben Kamara was elected as Secretary General, whilst RUFP’s Kelfala Kosea emerged as the Public Relations Office.
