The ACC Commissioner, Ade Macauley expressed appreciation for the contributions of MAAC and the media in their continued news dissemination and raising awareness on corruption and it related offences. He thanked his predecessor for the initiative in forming MAAC since 2011, pointing out that his intention is to continue working with the media in the fight, noting that journalists have the ability to change society.

Mr. Macauley described the fight as one that requires total involvement from all sectors in life including but not limited to the press, civil society, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), among other players. He said injustice is a bye-product of corruption and as a commission they are very focused on addressing injustice in all sectors because, according to him, there is one definition of corruption.
To embark on a hectic public and succeed in this fight we want to ensure to eradicate, suppressed and eliminate corruption throughout all our engagements with members of the public about our new approaches in our efforts. We have embarked on a massive Public Outreach, which over time has shown great improvement and awareness, thereby changing the public perception about the fight.
He pleaded with MAAC for sustainable messages because the Commission has the obligation to equip the media in their work in the area of accuracy on court matters, the computational risks in rebranding the country through an institution that is ready and trustworthy in the fight against corruption, which is the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
