The court charge sheet states that the accused persons face three counts of willfully making false returns contrary to Section 115 of the Public Elections Act and one count of unlawful interference with elections material, also contrary to Section 123 (b) of the same Act.

Furthermore, according to the Police file, Hadji Jabati and Foday Sesay on Friday 29th December, 2017 at SLMB Primary School at John Thorpe-Rokel Village being Electoral Officers in charge of conducting Village Head Election for Ward 393 in Constituency 111, made entry in the reconciliation and result form for polling stations number two, three and four, knowing same to be false.

It was also alleged that both accused persons on the same place and date stated above, willfully made false returns to wit: an entry in the reconciliation and result form for polling stations two, three and four.

Police further alleged that the accused persons also unlawfully interfered with elections materials kit boxes.

However, the accused persons were granted bail in the sum of forty million Leones, two sureties with national identity card each and bail must be approved by Deputy Master and Registrar.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of Police, Hawa Bah while the accused were represented by Lawyer C. Tucker.

The matter is adjourned to 5th March, 2018 for further trail.
