Bolloré Jets-In 4 RTG, 2 STS Cranes

Speaking to newsmen at the Quay over the weekend, Captain Fabjanko Kokan – Country Manager Bolloré Transport and Logistics Transportation said the Cranes who brought in as part of the ongoing Freetown Terminal Extension Project.

According to him, Concession Agreement was signed with the Government of Sierra Leone in October 2010, for a period of 20 years. He said operations started in March 2011 with an addendum No.4 signed in September 2015 for a $120 million investment in new berth and storage facilities.

Capt. Fabjanko went on to say at completion, Sierra Leone will have a new quay of 270m at -13m, 3.5 Ha of new storage area, 2 Ship-to-Shore Cranes and 4 RTG.

He said the new quay will be on operation on September 1st, 2018 with 3780 TEUS of extra capacity, 166 reefers plugs and Power plant of 6 MW designed to provide 100% of the needs.
