Cyril Jengo Snr., a critical analyst and one-time senior administrative assistant to the Cabinet said it is good that the government has corrected its mistake to suspend a taxation law, ultra vires.

He called on His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio to seize the upper hand by replacing the Secretary to the President under whose hand this embarrassing issue emanated.

He hosts the opinion that the substantive holder, though it appears he is the scapegoat, has to be reshuffled and sent on a diplomatic assignment, perhaps to the African Union (AU).

According to him, the continued retention of the Secretary to the President in that seat after this gargantuan mess up of the handling of the finance act’s unlawful suspension can further embarrass the president and question his judgement in appointing persons to such senior roles.
