The Dutch journalist got the price for his great humanitarian work in supporting vulnerable people in Sierra Leone.

It can be recalled that Kramer has built several schools for dropout girls in Bo and Kambia districts and has also given support, through micro finance, to vulnerable women unconditionally.

Many say his love for orphans and the disabled is unquestionable.

Sander, whose initial mission in Sierra Leone was to do a written documentary of the country’s brutal civil war. However, he fell with the country and saw the need to work relentlessly towards helping the needy, especially the homeless children.

“This award is a big appreciation for the eleven years of voluntary work I have been doing for the most vulnerable people of Sierra Leone.” Sander stated, whilst assuring his continued support to provide for the needy.

It is expected that Sander will arrive in Freetown on 28 of this month after collecting his awards and he has promised to do more in the area of improving education for the needy.
