He revealed that they are present undertaking an operation to remove all traders around Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA) transformers within the capital city. He maintained that they are
undertaking such an operation for not only preventing feature accident but to ensure that traders don’t use the perimeters of those transformers as market places and to prevent the transformers from
destructions by the traders or by unscrupulous individuals.
He maintained that when he assumed office as Acting Head of the Metropolitan Unit of FCC his first task was to reduce street trading in the municipality and to instill sanity in market women. “I have
held consultative meeting with the Mayor of FCC, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Police and other line stakeholders who have giving me their blessing” he said.
However he said, traders have now turned entrances of major government offices as market places and street hocking has now become the order of the day. He disclosed that his is determined to ensure that sanity is brought to the city, by making sure that all traders know their demarcations.
Simbo admitted that their manpower is low as they only have 120 personnel manning the affairs in the Western Area, which according to him was not enough, but they are working assiduously to ensure that
their presence be felt in every corners in the city. “Three months since I assumed office, I have succeeded in raising the morals of the personnel’s as they are always ready and determine to undertake
operations as and when necessary”  he said, adding that the Operation push back is still ongoing concurrently with Operation clear all transformers. He use this opportunity to warn all traders to note that Hill Station is not a trading area but a residential area, “we will soon undertake a special operation to rid off all street traders along Hill Station, I am in this position to succeed and nothing will hold
me back” he said.
