APC Secretary General Yansaneh disclosed that over the weekend the Secretariat received the invitation letter from the Police in which it was stated “the Secretary General and Others conspired to publish an inciting Press Release which has the tendency to raise discontent and disaffection (among the populace) and to bring hatred or contempt and excite disaffection against the Government of Sierra Leone thereby threatening the entire peace and security of Sierra Leone”.

As the Police were expecting the APC Executive Members at the CID headquarters on Monday, January 7, 2019, Osman Foday Yansaneh said that he wrote back on behalf of the APC to the Police that he needed time to inform  the Executive Members and the SLP has given the APC a week to do so and they are now  expected to report at the CID headquarters in Freetown  next Monday January 14, 2019.

Meanwhile, there was a heavy riot police presence at the APC headquarters at Old Railway Line, west end of Freetown  Monday morning January 7, 2019.

When this Writer visited the APC headquarters yesterday to observe what the area looked like, he overheard one passerby remarked “when the APC was in power yesterday, heavy riot police presence was a special periodic feature of Wallace Johnson Street, now that the SLPP is in power, heavy riot police presence has become a periodic feature of Old Railway Line.”
