He added that, Belgium SN Brussels airline was the only international air carrier that continued to fly to Sierra Leone throughout the Ebola epidemic.

The Sierra Leonean envoy stated that apart from the SN Brussels airlines, the other key economic links between Sierra Leone and Belgium has been in the area of the diamond trade.  Ambassador Musa maintained that the New Direction government of President Julius Maada Bio has embarked on the re-ordering of new national priorities with an emphasis on attracting inward investment.

Responding, the new Belgian Ambassador expressed delight at being able to visit the Ambassador and the embassy team. He said he looks forward to strengthening of the already strong bilateral ties between the two nations. He expressed the hope that Belgian businesses will take advantage of the investment opportunities in Sierra Leone. He cited the energy, water treatment and sanitation sectors as areas that Sierra Leone will benefit from.
