Hearing continues.

In a separate development, two notorious criminals, Yusuf Freeman Kallon alias Freeman and Samuel Cole alias Tanibola have been kept at the Male Correctional Centre by Magistrate Sahr Keikura presiding over the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.4 in Freetown for allegedly committing felonious offences, contrary to law.

Both accused persons are facing multiple offences ranging from Conspiracy, Robbery with Aggravation, Wounding and Burglary, which contravene Section (25) sub Section (1) and Section (13a) of the Larceny Act of 1861.

The charge sheet disclosed that both alleged criminals conspired together with unknown individuals to rob the complainant, Muana Jalloh of his fourteen inches plasma television valued at two million, five hundred thousand Leones.

Both accused persons allegedly committed the said offences on 8th October 2019, at Garden Drive off Regent Road, Lumley and were arrested by Detective Police Constable, 16985 Kamara K. on 16th October 2019, before they were investigated and subsequently charged to court.

In his testimony, the second Prosecution Witness, Detective Police Constable Lansana Koroma intimated the court that he is attached to the Anti- Robbery Unit Freetown West, Lumley Police Station and recognized the complainant, Muana Jalloh.

He informed the court that he recalled the incident of 8th October this year, and that he was on duty at the Anti-Robbery Unit command post, Freetown West when the complainant arrived and reported a case of robbery with aggravation against both accused persons.

According to Detective Police Constable Lansana Koroma, a police medical request form was issued to the complainant for medical examination and treatment, and that together with the Scene of Crime Officer, they visited the scene of crime and statements were obtained from both accused persons, Yusuf Freeman Kallon alias Freeman and Samuel Cole alias Tanibola.

The witness later produced and tendered in evidence the voluntary caution and charge statements of both accused persons separately, after which counsel for both accused persons, C. Campbell crossed-examined the witness.

The matter is prosecuted by Police SGT 8534 Gibrilla Sesay.
