The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) over the weekend ended the 4th leg of its regional stakeholders’ engagements for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the Northern region.

The Commission also met specifically with women’s groups on the formation and of the District Gender Stakeholders Coordination Group in Bombali district.

The two engagements were originally scheduled for Thursday 11th August, 2022, but did not hold as a result of the protest that occurred in some parts of the region, including Makeni city.

The weekend’s engagements were specifically focused on updating the MDAs, CSOs and the women groups on ECSL’s level of preparedness for the conduct of the Voter Registration exercise that will commence on 3rd September and expected to end on 4th October 2022.
