A delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development (SDF) has held a meeting with the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) to evaluate SDF funded projects at SALWACO.

The delegation led by Abdulrahman Alharbi (the SDF Operations Head for West Africa) was accompanied by Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh.

The Saudi Fund for Development, which commenced ground running activities in Sierra Leone from 16th to end on 19th May, are having a number of projects in Sierra Leone, including the 100 solar boreholes project for which SALWACO is the Implementing Agency.

Managing Director of SALWACO participated at the Mission’s courtesy call meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, chaired by Deputy Finance Minister, Hon. Bockarie Kalokoh.

The SALWACO team was represented by the Managing Director, Ing. George Lamin Vandi, Director of Finance, Frank Lahai Kamara and the Director of Procurement, Joe Gbouma Alieu.

The SDF team in the meeting at SALWACO comprised Abdulrahman Alharbi (Missoon Head) and Abdulrahman Alagarawi.

The two institutions discussed procurement processes and project implementation matters. The project would commence in a few months from now.
