In what was seen as an unprecedented move by the youth in Bombali, Makeni was flooded with young men and women in what they dubbed as jogging for renewed hope, while chanting and jogging to demonstrate their support, trust and confidence in Dr. Marah as having the wherewithal to lead the party and the country.
Makeni was awoken as early as 5 AM as the youth mounted loudspeakers on trucks and held microphones riding motorbikes calling on their peers to come out in support of their consented call.
The youth claimed that the high standard being set by President Ernest Bai Koroma, they have seen the determination and renewed spirit in Dr. Marah that will add value to what have been done by the party.
The youth say they see Dr. Marah as someone who has the appeal to their collective aspirations as party members and citizens of Sierra Leone.
It could be recalled that few weeks ago, youth in Koinadugu District made a similar move and called on the APC Party hierarchy to consider Dr. Kaifala Marah as the Flagbearer of the Party come 2018 Presidential Election. These calls have come in spontaneity clearly demonstrating the love, trust and confidence the youth of Sierra Leone have in Dr. Marah.
Dr. Kaifala Maraha has served as Chief of Staff at State House, Minister of Finance and Economic Development under the current administration and he is the country’s current Bank Governor.
