Sierra Leone’s Minister of Communications Technology and Innovation, Salima Monorma Bah has urged her colleague ministers to take advantage of the National E-Government Plan.

The ministry held a one-day conference to launch the National E-Government plan at the new Brookfields Hotel in Freetown and the event brought together stakeholders, Government representatives, and experts to share ideas on above mentioned.

The National E-Government plan is aimed at improving the quality of government services in various sectors and creating an environment for Citizens to easily access government services without having to worry about constraints.

In her address to stakeholders, the Minister of Communications Technology and Innovation Madam Salima Monorma Bah reiterated President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s commitment to strengthen Tech-Infrastructures in governance, especially in achieving the big five game-changers.

She added that this E-government plan will be of great help to promote digital literacy, accessibility of government activities, and provide agricultural information, and easy application of National Identification Cards and other relevant national documents through a digital application.

In her summary statement, she encouraged heads of government parastatals to take advantage of this opportunity as it would ensure that their work becomes easier, more effective, transparent, and proper management of vital documents.
