Share

The Red Crescent Society Polyclinic of I.R. Iran in Freetown extends congratulations on 8 May in the annual celebration of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day and wishes everyone good health and good tidings with this year’s slogan being “A World Awaiting Peace”.
The Iranian hospital is supported by the Iranian Red crescent society which operates base on the seven principles of the IFRC international Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society.
Basically our services are on cost recovery with no aim to maximise profit but rather to assist the vulnerable and those who cannot afford.
The Polyclinic has been providing medical services in Freetown since 2008 and has developed diagnostic, therapeutic and pharmaceutical departments and currently enjoys a maternity and midwifery department, a laboratory, a pharmacy, separate male and female admission wards, injections and dressings, ultrasound, emergency electrocardiography and a general practitioner 24/7 for the noble people of Sierra Leone.
The quality of services in this center matches that of top-notch private sector facilities, but the charges are equivalent to that of the public sector and even less. The center has also put establishing CT scan and reference laboratory services on its development agenda.
All services in this center are available around the clock, and for malaria patients, special services are provided, including rapid diagnostic tests and medicines with skilled laboratory technicians, nurses, and experienced doctors.
In addition, C-section, hernia, ovarian tumors and hysterectomy operations among other minor surgeries, as well as natural childbirths are performed in this center under the supervision of experienced surgeons and midwives.
