Political tension undermines education

Our sources in the abovementioned  districts disclosed that authorities in the districts planned to institute a lock down measures to get people to register and banned markets, transportation and any other activities that will hinders the registration process.

The voter registration process as at last week Wednesday 19th April, clocked 31 days with 2.9 million registered voters which amount to 71%.
Western Area urban which covers the Capital Freetown probably consider to be the most densely populated part of the country had topped the list of registered voters with 560,562 (100%) followed by Kenema with 265, 668 (83%), and Bonthe last with 90,367 (56%).
However, looking at it in the bigger perspective, with specific reference in the provincial areas, the North continues to have the highest number of registered voters with 949,284 although only 56% of the stations have reported.
Western Area is second in the registration with 815,796 with 100% of the centers reported so far.
