The Parliament of Sierra Leone, through its Public Accounts Committee (PAC), has recovered a remarkable NLe50 million from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) during the 2021 and 2022 Auditor General Report hearings held in the House of Parliament.
Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh has called out non-compliance with Goods and Services Tax Regulations, putting forward a scathing critique of their failure to adhere to Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations.
As the second-highest-ranking official in the House of Parliament, his vocal condemnation underscored the importance of upholding financial protocols for a healthy and transparent economy.
