Chief Minister receives updates on Tripartite Recommendations

Dr. Moinina David Sengeh, Chief Minister of Sierra Leone and lead negotiator of the just concluded tripartite committee has received an update from the steering committee regarding the implementation of the Tripartite Report recommendations.

On July 29, 2024, the steering committee, consisting of 18 members, including representatives from media and civil society organizations (CSOs), held its inaugural meeting to begin implementing the Cross-Party Committee on Electoral System and Management Bodies Review Report, known as the ‘tripartite report.’

The Chief Minister stated that the meeting aimed to explore strategies for implementing the report’s recommendations. He noted that the terms of reference (TOR) for committee members have been finalized, and a secretariat will be established soon.

He encouraged the committee members to expedite their efforts in preparation for the official launch of the report’s implementation.
