The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) World Service has selected the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire for the BBC media leaders programme. Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AYV, Mr. Messeh Leone, traveled on a BBC-fully sponsored trip to Cape Town, South Africa, for a four-day to participate in a BBC Media Leaders conference 2024, aimed at promoting media development in Africa.
The BBC media leaders conference is being held at the Sun Square Cape Town City Bowl in Cape Town, South Africa, from 5th–9th November.
The programme focuses on TV, Radio, Print, Digital and other multimedia platforms. The theme for the program this year is “Building Reach and Trust with Young Audiences.”
The BBC Media Leaders Programme is a unique platform where senior executives and directors come together to learn, exchange ideas, and share knowledge on topics ranging from the latest media trends to the most pressing issues facing the multimedia industry, as well as financial sustainability and business investment strategy for media institutions.
AYV Chief Operating Officer, Messeh Leone is meeting with top BBC executives and participating in a series of working group sessions with other media partners and leaders, including CEOs and directors from across Africa, as part of the BBC Media Leaders conference.

This year, 2024, marks five years of strategic world-class multimedia partnership between the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The AYV on March 22nd, 2019, announced a new partnership with the BBC, the world service program in London. This was the first AYV partnership with a global broadcaster.
