All People’s Congress (APC) Party’s 2023 Elections Deputy Leaders and Vice Presidential candidate, Hon. Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah widely called Chericoco, has reminded members, supporters and loyalists of the APC that loyalty to the Party transcends all individual preferences, and that the strength of the Party comes from its ability to stay united.
He said he sees these internal campaigns as essential for democracy within APC, but that he is concerned that the tone has begun to stray from the Party’s spirit of respect and solidarity. Chericoco urged supporters to remember that: “Supporting different delegates does not make us enemies; it makes us a vibrant family. Our loyalty to APC is what unites us, and that bond is stronger than any internal choice.”
For him, loyalty to the APC should always come first, and the diversity of support should only strengthen, not divide, the Party. He called on all members to conduct their campaigns with dignity and to champion their chosen leaders without tearing one another down.
Chericoco envisions an APC united by its values of respect, resilience, and a shared goal of leading Sierra Leone. He reminded everyone that APC’s strength lies in its ability to uphold unity and peace within its ranks, and it is only through this unity that APC can achieve its mission and deliver a brighter future for all.
In another development and in line with the provisions set out in Article 47 of the All Peoples Congress 2022 Constitution, Honourable Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah has officially handed over his office as Deputy Leader of the All People’s Congress Party.
The handing-over ceremony marks the end of Hon. Chericoco’s tenure as Deputy Leader of the Party.
Receiving the keys as the Secretary-General of the All Peoples Congress Party, in the presence of the National Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray; Deputy Chairman, Amb. Osman Foday Yansaneh; National Publicity Secretary, Sidi Yayah Tunis; Deputy Organising Secretary, Chernor C.S. Kamara; and other senior NAC members, Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya expressed gratitude to Hon. Chericoco for his service and contributions to the APC Party.
In his farewell address, Hon. Chericoco thanked the APC Leadership and the entire membership for the opportunity given to him to serve the APC Party. He expressed his willingness to continue serving the APC Party in any capacity or assignment given to him.
