Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr David Moinina Sengeh met with Agnes Dasewicz Head of Investments at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) prior to the DFC’s 5th Anniversary Conference in Washington DC.
In their bilateral meeting, the two leaders spoke about the deep relationship between the US Government and the Republic of Sierra Leone. Currently, DFC has over $600 million investments in Sierra Leone with more in the pipeline.
The DFC has a priority to invest in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and financial institutions in Sierra Leone.
Ms. Dasewicz thanked the Chief Minister and the government of Sierra Leone for creating the enabling and safe environment for private sector participation in the development of Sierra Leone.
Later, the Chief Minister also joined other senior members of the US Government, including Secretary of State and the National Security Adviser, to participate at the Conference.
