Sierra Leone’s Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Julius Daniel Mattai, arrived safely in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Monday, 13th January to attend the fourth Future Minerals Forum (FMF) scheduled to take place from 14-16 January 2025.
The FMF is an inclusive multi-stakeholder conference convened by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, themed “Year of Impact,” focusing on global dialogue, cooperation, and innovation in mining and minerals for energy transformation and modern industries.
During the three-day conference, key agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed among government agencies, global and local companies, and institutions.
Minister Mattai is accompanied by Engineer Alhaji Hadiji Dabo, Director General, National Minerals Agency, Alusine Timbo, Deputy Director of Mines, and Joseph Lebbie, Deputy Director Geological Survey.
Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed S. Barrie, and embassy staff received Minister Mattai and his delegation.
