The National Revenue Authority (NRA) today hosted the official signing of a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA) and the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMA) at its headquarters, 5 Gloucester Street, Freetown.

The MoU marks a strategic move to enhance inter-agency coordination, streamline operations, and jointly address revenue leakages across the petroleum and maritime sectors, the two key contributors to national revenue.

Commissioner-General of NRA, Jeneba J. Bangura, urged all parties to translate the MoU into a concrete action, emphasising that its values lies in implementation, not formality.

All three institutions reaffirmed their commitment to working together to close compliance gaps, improve information sharing, and ensure more efficient revenue collection through unified systems and regulatory oversight.

The MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, including joint technical engagements, policy harmonisation, and capacity building, positioning the partnership as a vital step toward achieving greater transparency, operational synergy, and long-term fiscal sustainability.
