Hon. Kanu made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with AYV Media yesterday, as he vividly stated that the document displayed by John Bonoh Sisay happened to be a premature manifesto that is distinct from the APC national manifesto.

He emphasized that the party has established criteria and banked on sacred things that one must attained in order for him/her to be considered a presidential nominee.  He pointed out that John Sisay thought he had fulfill all the APC set criteria, that might be the reason he had come out publicly, he guessed and maintained that Bonoh should have prepared his manifesto in connection with the APC developmental agenda.

He reiterated “he copy me which I have on my desk, but the document which he put on top of it should have been sent to the APC for thorough  consideration of the extra things I want  to do on top of the Agenda for Prosperity.”

Alpha Kanu emphasized that they already have the Agenda for Prosperity, adding that it was the vision of President Koroma from 2012-2035 and that has been unanimously agreed upon. He stated the Agenda for Prosperity was put together by all of them.

Currently, he mentioned that the Agenda for Prosperity have been delivering for the party and the people are happy with the series of development in various societal sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, education and health, under the presidency of President Koroma.

He confirmed that the people are so happy that they want President Koroma to continue, adding that the President had mentioned that he is a goalkeeper and that he would not score own goal, pointing out that as a constitutional goalkeeper he would abide by the dictates of the country’s constitution.

Kanu uttered that the president definitely needs someone to contest and it the constitutional right of John Sisay to come out, he ascertained that the manifesto John Sisay launched was not part of the APC plans, adding that the APC will prepare and launch their national manifesto.

He reiterated that the document that John Sisay made public was a premature move, stating that he should not have done that and it had already preempt what the APC manifesto would be if they agree to accept it.

He confirmed that the action of John Sisay was considered as off procedure and a mistake which he should have never done but he should have rather submits the document to the party.
