Flagbearer aspirant Mohamed Amadu Kamara, widely known as Jagaban, has raised serious allegations of irregularities in the recent lower-level elections conducted by the ruling All People’s Congress (APC).
In a second video statement released, Mr Kamara accused certain individuals of removing ballot boxes from polling stations, filling them outside, and returning them for collation. He described this act as a direct violation of party electoral procedures and claimed it undermined the credibility of the entire exercise.
“I have credible information that some stakeholders in this election were part of a deliberate conspiracy to manipulate the results,” Mr Kamara said in the video. He emphasised that the election outcome, as currently reported, would be challenged through all available legal and party channels.
Party insiders have so far refrained from responding to the allegations, and it remains unclear how the APC leadership intends to address the claims. Analysts warn that such accusations, if substantiated, could deepen internal divisions within the party and affect its cohesion ahead of upcoming political contests.
Mohamed Amadu Kamara has promised to continue documenting what he calls “electoral malpractice” and urged party members to uphold transparency and accountability in all future polls.
