Letter of resignation as a patron member of the Sierra Leone peoples party

Share

All of these propelled me to travelled to Sierra Leone from Melbourne, where I currently work to register with the SLPP.

However, I am heartbreaking and disappointed with how the party has been functioning the past two years, especially the disregard for constitutionality. Those who know me personally, I don’t operate this way.

Moreover, people like Dr Kandeh Yumkella and other credible SLPP members who have worked hard for this party have left because of in justice and no sign of SLPP ready to bring a brighter future for Sierra Leoneans.

You may be aware sir, about a year ago, I was in Sierra Leone and I visited our head office at Walles Johnston Street to pay my annual party dues  the way one senior member of the party , a PAOPA supporter treated me, was very rude and confronting. Since that incident I am not free to visit SLPP party office again.

Mr Kappen, my expectations of SLPP as an opposition party was not met. I was expecting SLPP to be a voice and advocating for the people of Sierra Leone but this was not achieved.

Therefore, with all these factors and to achieve my vision and the reason why I came into politics in Sierra Leone, I am officially resigning as a member of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party effective Thursday 7 September 2017.

Thanks for the opportunity given to me that enables me to be actively involved in Sierra Leone politics.

Yours Faithfully

Jeremiah Oluwole Temple
