Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), National Grand Coalition (NGC), People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP Sobeh), National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Revolutionary United Front Party (RUFP) among others have been totally silence on Obasanjo’s secret ins and outs of the country.

It can be recalled that Obasanjo within a period of one month (October 2017) has unexplainably visited Sierra Leone at least two times and all his visits have been totally connected with the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) party and no other political party.

Confirmed reports say political parties know little or nothing about Obasanjo’s reason(s) of frequently coming in and going out of Sierra Leone.

Confirmed reports also have it that no member of any of the dozens of opposition political parties has ever been pre-informed of any of the Oga man’s visits into the country neither has anyone of these parties been included into any discussion relating to his ins and outs in the past months.

Furthermore, it is on record that in 2012, Obasanjo again intruded into the country’s national politics and supported the APC by campaigning with them using a helicopter. This act of Obasanjo back then solicited lots of support for the APC and by extension depriving poor opposition political parties of opportunity.

Sierra Leoneans are perturbed by the total silence of opposition political parties to stand against Obasanjo’s interference into the country’s politics again for the second time in a row, especially when there are clear facts that the Oga man has absolutely no business in Sierra Leone’s elections or politics.

On the other hand, some people believed that the mumu of these opposition political parties could not be unconnected with poverty, especially when it was the same Obasanjo who prior to Sierra Leone’s 2012 national elections gave whooping sums of United States dollars to all political parties in the country as a help to facilitate their operations.

In view of this, many people believed the funny silence of political parties on the interference of Obasanjo into Sierra Leone’s national politics could not be unconnected with the argument that they are afraid that should anyone of them say a word against the Oga man, that political parties might just forfeit the yet to be revealed Obasanjo 2018 political parties package.

So, tied up on this promise of blind package, even if Obasanjo wish to sack the electoral commissioner and all his staff and make himself the new commissioner, no political party will dare him.
