A third television channel mainly for sports and education would also be launched in due course according to AYV Chairman and CEO Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr.
AYV has branches in the North, South and East of the country and also a branch in London.
With all these, CEO and President of AYV Media Empire, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. has outlined further expansion plans at a general staff meeting on Friday 2nd November, 2018 at the empire’s board room.
Currently there is massive construction going on at the AYV Wesley Street headquarters
Speaking about this and other matters during the meeting Ambassador Navo said: “It is going to be a four-storey building. It is going to be a film school, and an ultra-modern studio. I have partners internationally…we haven’t concluded yet but we are working to partner with the SKY Channel in London and work on the film aspect in Sierra Leone. We will continue to improve on AYV and by next year we might have medical insurance for staff. Already we have been able to establish free food and this is now a policy and so we dare not remove the free food policy for obvious reasons.”
He revealed that AYV is working on introducing a new channel for sports and education, adding that this is part of his efforts to give young people a voice. He therefore called on all his staff to work with him as they have been doing over the years.
He went on to say that despite some lapses (that are being corrected) the institution on the whole was able to make at least 80% success throughout 2018, adding that he projects that by the end of 2019 the AYV Media Empire would have reached 100% plus in terms of success in every sphere be it professional, staff welfare, broadcast programmes, modern technology, innovation, events management and many other areas of media importance and relevance.
Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. said the plans are also for the expansion of the AYV Empire to other parts of Africa and beyond. He added that his dream is to make AYV a recognized media institution across Africa and the world at large.
The staff of AYV is currently over 80% young people. The expansion of AYV will create more jobs for more young people.
