Sierra Leone’s Embassy in the State of Kuwait has called on Sierra Leoneans residing in Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Jordan to immediately seek shelter and strictly adhere to safety guidelines issued by authorities in their respective host countries.

In a statement released by the Embassy, nationals were urged to remain indoors where necessary, follow official advisories and prioritize their safety as tensions escalate in parts of the Middle East.

The advisory follows reports that Iran has been launching missiles into the affected countries since over the weekend, raising security concerns across the region.

The Embassy emphasized the importance of staying informed through verified government communication channels and complying with directives from local security agencies. Sierra Leoneans were also encouraged to maintain contact with the Embassy for updates and possible consular support.

Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan have heightened security monitoring as regional developments continue to unfold.

The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and welfare of Sierra Leonean citizens abroad and assured that it is closely monitoring the situation while remaining in contact with relevant authorities.

Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
