In an effort to ensure a more impactful and successful annual girls’ conference, Girls Connect Sierra Leone has announced a change in the event’s date. Originally scheduled for 11th October 2023, the conference will now take place on 28th October 2023.

The decision to postpone the event was conveyed by Girls Connect Sierra Leone’s Head of Public Relations, Mawyi Jalloh, who cited the need for additional preparations and administrative arrangements as the primary reasons behind the rescheduling.

The organisation is committed to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the conference, which focuses on critical issues surrounding menstrual hygiene and aims to provide education, capacity building, and menstrual pad provisions to local girls.

Girls Connect Sierra Leone has a distinguished track record of addressing menstrual hygiene concerns within the community, and their annual girls’ conference plays a vital role in raising awareness and providing practical solutions to these challenges.

The rescheduled date of October 28th, 2023, is expected to enable Girls Connect Sierra Leone to further refine its conference program and logistical arrangements, ensuring that the event makes an even more significant impact on the lives of the girls it serves.

The organisation encourages all stakeholders, including sponsors, participants, and the local community, to mark their calendars and join them in making this year’s girls’ conference an even more successful and transformative experience for the young girls of Sierra Leone.
