President Julius Maada Bio has sworn in a new batch of Ministers and Deputy Ministers, charging them to deliver results with integrity, discipline and honesty.
Among those taking office are Karefa Kargbo as Minister of Finance and Umaru Napoleon Koroma as Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, alongside newly appointed Deputy Ministers in Foreign Affairs, Energy and Mines.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Finance Minister Karefa Kargbo thanked President Bio for the confidence placed in them and pledged to build on existing work while tackling outstanding challenges.
President Bio described the new responsibilities as a “heavy task”, urging the appointees to serve with firmness, dignity and integrity.
He also reminded them of the sacred oaths they had taken, stressing that their commitments must translate into responsible service to the people of Sierra Leone.
The President called on the new officials to work collectively and focus on delivering meaningful results under the Government’s development agenda.
