In a thrilling encounter at the Southern Arena over the weekend, East End Lions FC secured a remarkable victory over Bo Rangers in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.

The lone goal, scored with precision, resulted in a 1:0 triumph for Eastern Lions, reshaping the dynamics of the league.

This victory holds special significance as East End Lions, the former champions, were positioned at a challenging 14th place in the league table prior to this match. Defying expectations, they managed to become the first team this season to defeat Bo Rangers, the defending champions, on their home turf.

The win catapulted East End Lions to the 11th position in the league standings, marking a significant climb for the team.

A standout performer in the match, East End Lions FC defender Oga David Godswill, was honored with the Man of the Match award for his exceptional contributions on the field.

His stellar performance played a crucial role in securing the victory for East End Lions.

Prior to the match, the heads of the two leading champions in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. of East End Lions and Babadi Kamara of Bo rangers called football fans to unite and see football as an enabler of socio-economic transformation.

These two great men met again in what is dubbed the fiercest competition in the first round of the Sierra Leone Premier League. It was, not because one of them is competitive like the other, nor because the other is better placed on the league table, but because, regardless of their form and position in the league, they will be playing for their pride.

The history of these two teams has been a bittersweet moment in these last 3 years, mainly because of their passionate fans.

However, what makes the past game more thrilling and a must-watch was the fact that two passionate leaders who have the courage and history of empowering young people met for the first time after almost a year.

Babadi and Navo are two household names in Sierra Leone who continue to do their part in the socio-economic transformation of our beloved nation.
