“We have written our letter to the management of the stadium for us to have access to the stadium but the management told us that they have collected money from a church to use the facility on the same date,” he explained.

“The SLPP, NGC and APC were all granted access to use the national stadium,” he said, adding: “the stadium management said they have received payment from a church to use the stadium on 4th March, 2018 and we are insisting that the stadium management must grant us access because the stadium belongs to all Sierra Leoneans and we will do our best to maintain peace,” he said.

“All political parties must be treated equally and we would fight until the management change their decision,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, when contacted, a senior stadium management official confirmed that the facility had been rented out to another customer to use the facility on the date which the C4C is requesting to use the stadium for. He added that in as much as the stadium belongs to all Sierra Leoneans, they cannot deprive any Sierra Leone from using the facility as they had booked and paid in advance for the facility.
