Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has engaged 2023 Presidential Candidate for the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) Party, Dr. Samura Kamara on diplomacy and democratic values.

The two statesmen agreed that diplomacy should be at the core of their engagements and further spoke about their dislikes for bad politics, ending on a note of urgency for dialogue.

Chief Minister Sengeh tweeted: “I spent a solid 10+ minutes talking to Dr. Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of the opposition party APC, one on one. We recalled our time in Makeni (St. Francis) and spoke about our shared hope for the country. We agreed that diplomacy should be at the core of our engagements. “We spoke about our dislike for bad politics. And we ended on a note of urgency for dialogue. I assured him that we will engage with open minds, and open hearts to move our country forward”.

The two personalities meet at an event hosted by the new US Ambassador at his residence. The event attracted folks from all political parties, civil society organisations and development partners.
