Addressing key party stakeholders, Paramount Chiefs, tribal and Chiefdom authorities, youth groups and journalists at the occasion, the All Peoples Congress Party Chairman of Koinadugu district, Kabineh Samura described the occasion as historic, unique and clear display of unflinching loyalty supporters and preparedness to clinch power come 2018 general elections.

He said, he was overwhelmed by the decision of the President Ernest Bai Koroma to appoint Mohamed Ali Jalloh to serve as  Deputy Minister  of Transport of Aviation including other hard working and decent Sierra Leoneans  as part of  the of the president’s cardinal objectives to practicalize the philosophy of  politics of inclusion.

According to Kabineh Samura the All Peoples Congress caters for people of different shades of opinion and also encourages young people to take active role and responsibility in the implementation of tangible developments projects in various part of the country, and added that the people of Koinadugu district were very appreciative of and take cognizance of President Ernest Bai Koroma proactive and gigantic posture to fast track national development activities in the country.

Delivery his keynote address, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation, Mohamed Alie Jalloh expressed profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to over one thousand jubilant party supporters and sympathizers for according him such a historic welcoming on his new appointment and President Ernest Bai Koroma  for elevating him to such a honourable position in state governance.

He told the mammoth gathering that, he joined the All Peoples Congress in 2011 after serving the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party for five years with unblemished and unbreakable political track record and went on to disclosed that he was part of the Koinadugu campaign team during the 2012 general elections together with Momoh Conteh and other key politicians from Koinadugu

Mohamed Alie Jalloh disclosed  that, he decided to cross carpet to the All Peoples Congress to compliment the effort of the president including government functionaries towards the success implementation of national development policies and programmes across the country, and furthered that , since his appointment as Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation he has enjoyed a unique and enviable working relationship with Leonard Balogun Koroma, his immediate boss and the entire staff of the ministry.

He maintained that he taught for twenty years as principal of the  Ahmadyya Muslim  Secondary School in Kabala and resigned from the teaching profession with another decent and remarkable track record coupled with his tremendous contribution towards the development of education in that part of the country, stating that President Ernest Bai Koroma is very keen  on the empowerment of youths to surmount challenges ahead through the establishment of youth friendly and development oriented  national institutions to ensure their participation and various development programmes.

The Deputy Minister also reaffirmed his commitment and readiness to work in consonance  with the objective of the his party set goals and government in the success implementation of all designed national development projects, and at the same time improve the social and economic status of Koinagudans and the country as a whole.

The Chairman of the National Telecommunication Company, Momoh Conteh who is a key stakeholder and a political bulldozer of Koinadugu district used the occasion to dispel rumours doing the rounds that, President Ernest Bai Koroma acted unwisely by appointing certain Sierra Leoneans to ministerial positions, noting that the decision of President Ernest Bai Koroma to appoint people to  various ministerial position was not only wise ,but that he also encourages young people and his compatriots to join him pushing Sierra Leone to the peak  of social and economic  prosperity.

He implored the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Leonard Balogun Koroma and his Deputy Mohamed Alie Jalloh to work as team as the President and the people of Koinadugu reposed special confidence and trust in their ability, competence, technical knowhow and all it takes to help President Ernest Bai Koroma rebrand the country and concluded by stating that, the National Telecommunications Company is poised to extend mobile network coverage in localities within the district that are still yearning for mobile network coverage.

On his part, the Deputy Minister of Energy 1 Hassan Barrie reaffirmed government commitment and dedication to provide electricity supply in all the district headquarter towns and solar lights in one hundred and forty nine chiefdoms headquarters town in the country before 2018 general elections as a fulfilment of government promised, coupled with it no nonsense stance to augment developments in various parts of the country.

He said the Minister of Transport, Leonard Balogun Koroma and the his Deputy, Mohamed Alie Jalloh have no regret of joining the All Peoples Congress, as it is a party that has contributed immensely and that account for various tangible and unique developments activities since Sierra Leone gained independence, adding that the All Peoples Congress Party will never relent in its strides and avowed posture to continue in that positive direction.

 

The Deputy Energy Minister  concluded that, government has conducted the bidding process and the competent bidder and the Ministry of Energy are working on the final details for the procurement of the machines for the supply of electricity to  all district headquarter towns and solar lights for the all the Chiefdoms headquarter towns across the country.
