East End Lions Football Club (E.E Lions FC) has contracted the services of Charlie Wright as Head Coach for the team, ahead of the 2023/24 Sierra Leone Premier League slated to commence on 3rd November, 2023.

Head of Media and Communications of East End Lions Football Club, Alhassan Idriss Bangura said Coach Wright signed a two-year deal with an option clause of extension.

The 2019 Sierra Leone Premier League on beaten Champions East End Lions football have embarked on reforms and restructuring of the team especially for the upcoming league season. Adding to its technical team, East End Lions FC have signed Coach Charlie Wright, who was with FC Kallon.

While giving background on the deal Alhassan Idriss Bangura Head of Media and Communications of East End Lions mentioned that the acquisition of Coach Wright is part of meeting the Confederation of Africa Football Criteria, noting Coach Wright is a qualified CAF A-license holder.

Expressing excitement after penning down a two year contract for East End Lions Football Club, Charlie Wright mentioned working as a team to achieve the clubs goal, adding the club have a rich history of wining laurels over the years.

Charlie Wright was a former footballer of East End Lions Football Club and has guided them to achieve many trophies in the past, but will now serve in the technical team as head coach together with Raymond Gerald Hunter who will be his immediate assistant.

The East End Lions Football Club was founded in 1928. It is a professional football club based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Club plays in the national Premier League and has won over 11 league titles with the most recent been the 2019/2020 Sierra Leone Premier league.

The Club has represented the country in regional and continental inter-club competitions and emerging as runner-up in 1996 in the West Africa Football Union Cup.
