Chairman of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL), Mohamed K Konneh was in Nigeria leading ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC) Peer Support Learning Mission, comprising Chief Electoral Commissioners from Tanzania, Liberia, Ghana, Namibia and Gambia.

Sierra Leone’s Chief Electoral Commissioner, on the invitation of ECONEC, provided peer group support to Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria for the 25th February, 2023 elections. Commissioner Mohamed Konneh and team also met with elections observers from Africa Union, ECOWAS and Common Wealth.

Nigerians went to the polls on February 25, 2023, to elect a new president.
