Responding, Vice President Jalloh expressed his excitement about the visit of the delegation, and welcomed the team on behalf His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio and the People of Sierra Leone. Dr. Jalloh further expressed his gratitude to ECOWAS for sending an observation delegation to Sierra Leone during the 2018 elections, and commended the role played by the delegation during that electioneering period.
He informed his audience that Sierra Leone is currently trying to put together a ECOWAS House, and is on the process of establishing an ECOWAS Early Warning System. He affirmed his impressions on the work of the Court in the past years. He noted that the existence of the Court is a clear indication of ECOWAS’ seriousness to enhance good governance and the rule of law.
