The winner of the contest will sell the nation to the outside world and put Sierra Leone on the international stage. The event will not only be concerned with displaying the beauty of females but will help boost the tourism industry, which is now part of the government’s agenda in diversification for revenue generation. It will further attract tourists to the country.

It is worthy to note that AYV is the official franchise holder and organizer of the Miss University beauty pageant. Miss University beauty pageant was first held in 2011 and it has turned out over the years to be a very important event in the calendar of universities and tertiary institutions in the country. The Africa Young Voices Media Empire with a vision to give a voice to the young generation believes that through the Miss University Pageant, it can further empower young ladies and give them the opportunity to express themselves on issues that are relevant to Sierra Leone and better groom them into becoming role models and ambassadors of their institutions and the country as a whole. It is normally well attended by thousands of people yearly.
