The Freetown City Council (FCC) has commenced the distribution of Property Rate and Business License Demand Notes in Freetown.

This was according to the Mayor of Freetown, Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr who also revealed that 65 percent of FCC’s budgeted revenue is from property rates and business licenses.

Her Worship said the delivery of services to residents is dependent on the payment of property rates and business licenses by residents.

She recalled that last year’s compliance levels were low at 35 percent and 45 percent for Property Rates and Business Licenses respectively, while calling on residents to do better this year.

“Let us all play our part to continue our journey to transform Freetown.” Mayor Aki-Sawyer appealed.
