The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has successfully concluded its five-day FIFA MA Course for Youth Referees in Bo city, marking another significant step in strengthening the future of football officiating in Sierra Leone.
The training was led by FIFA Technical Instructor Ali Mohamed Ahmed of Somalia and FIFA Fitness Instructor Bento Tomas Navesse of Mozambique, who praised the participants for their impressive performance and encouraged them to remain disciplined, dedicated, and committed to applying the knowledge gained.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Southern Region Football Association Secretary, Yayah Mansaray, congratulated the young referees and urged them to uphold integrity, professionalism, and excellence throughout their officiating careers.
Vice Chairman of the SLFA Referees Committee, Alhaji Daudu Williams, expressed confidence that the newly trained officials will play a vital role in improving the standard of refereeing across Sierra Leone.
The successful programme was coordinated by the SLFA Referees Department with support from Referees Manager Alhaji Sanusie Rashid and local refereeing officials, including Alhaji Alpha Rahim, Mohamed Bristo Kamara, Zainab Wilson, and Alhaji DauduWilliams.
With the youth course now completed, attention shifts to the FIFA MA Course for Elite Referees, which begins in Bo City and continues the SLFA’s commitment to developing world-class match officials.
