His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio accompanied by his beautiful Wife Dr. Fatima Maada Bio and prominent dignitaries and mourners, gathered at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tihun Sogbini Chiefdom to honor the memory of his beloved elder sister, Mrs. Agnes Anne-Marie Deen Jalloh, who passed away on February 18th, 2024.

President Bio, visibly moved by the loss, described his sister as an invaluable source of inspiration and wisdom, attributing much of his personal development to her guidance. As the 40th-day memorial service commenced, the atmosphere was imbued with solemnity, marked by a poignant sermon addressing themes of jealousy and backbiting, resonating deeply with the assembled mourners.

In his address, President Bio expressed gratitude to those who joined him in mourning and reflected on the universal inevitability of death, irrespective of societal status or affiliations. He urged everyone to cherish moments spent with loved ones, emphasizing the transient nature of life.

Acknowledging the support received during his time of bereavement, President Bio thanked attendees for their presence and prayers, underscoring the importance of communal solidarity during times of grief.
