President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and Mrs. Fatima Bio yesterday Tuesday, 18th January 2022 departed Sierra Leone for the Gambia to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Gambian President Adama Barrow.

The inauguration is scheduled for today Wednesday, 19th January 2022 in Banjul, The Gambia where President Barrow will be sworn in to commence his second term after his victory in the presidential poll of 4th December 2021.

Mr. and Mrs. Bio are expected to return to Sierra Leone on tomorrow Thursday 20th January 2022. In another development, President Bio has been nominated as Champion of Blue Economy in Africa.
