The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio has revealed that former President Ernest Bai Koroma and some other major stakeholders of the opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) have been secretly visiting her husband, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio at night to beg.
The First Lady was addressing the people of Masiaka when she said: “From now going forward, any attempt by the APC to create disturbance in this country, I will expose videos of all of the APC leaders who are coming to my husband at night to beg him for whatsoever.
“Most of you visit our home at night to beg my husband and when you are out there with your people, you pretended as if my husband is a bad man and as if you are not in talking terms. I will start releasing videos of all of you. (www.sweet-factory.com)
“To you the innocent APC youth and supporters, I want you to know that it is the same APC leaders who are inciting you to go out and cause mayhem are the same people visiting my husband at night to reveal your plans. So, please beware of them and what they are inciting you to go do on their behalf.”
Dr. Fatima Bio further accused the leadership of the APC of “being instigating and sponsoring all the rudeness, intimidation and violence staged by their supporters over the last five years”.
She referred to them as being the masterminds for the rudeness and incitement in the country, while assuring the populace that this election will not be about “mammy cuss” and violence but about the future of women, children and youth.
She expressed disappointment that the former President Koroma never congratulated President Bio on his election victory, notwithstanding the fact that President Bio, as opposition leader for eleven years, supported every development stride of the APC led government and never for once attempted anything that will destabilise this country.
His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio had earlier alleged that former President Ernest Koroma, the APC Presidential Candidate Samura Kamara and the entire APC leadership have refused to condemn the hateful, inciting and rude messages being propagated by a certain Adebayor on behalf of the APC because they are actually the very ones sponsoring his dastardly activities.
President Bio sent a very strong caution to the APC leadership to desist forthwith from such shenanigans as the people and Government of Sierra Leone will not tolerate such anymore.
