Sierra Leone’s Firs Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio arrived home over the weekend after participating in a high-level seminar on promoting Cancer awareness in Nigeria.

While in Nigeria, Her Excellency joined other African First Ladies for a dinner organised by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the Transcorp Hotel Hall in Abuja.

The gathering provided a warm and informal setting for these influential leaders to further discuss their shared commitment to addressing cancer and other pressing healthcare issues across the continent.

The evening marked a time of camaraderie and collaboration as the First Ladies exchanged ideas, experiences, and strategies to enhance cancer awareness and advocacy in their respective countries. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio’s presence at the dinner underscored the importance of unity and solidarity among African leaders in their collective fight against cancer, fostering a sense of shared purpose and determination to improve health outcomes for all Africans.
