President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mr Babadi Kamara, has vowed that football will become the epicentre under his watch in Sierra Leone.
He was speaking during a courtesy visit to the Chairman of East End Lions Football Club, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr., where he applauded the Club’s development efforts and pledged full support toward strengthening local football.
President Babadi donated essential equipment, including a brand-new substitution bench and black pallets, to the East End Lions FC. The contribution, made at the club’s new Trade Centre pitch, aims to improve facilities and enhance the match-day experience. He expressed his dedication to backing the Trade Centre Field transformation project.
Receiving the donation, East End Lions FC Chairman, Anthony Navo Jr., expressed heartfelt appreciation for Kamara’s support, noting it will strengthen the team’s preparations and performance on the field.
The visit marks a positive step toward stronger football infrastructure in Sierra Leone.
The East End Lions (EE Lions) football club uses the Trade Centre Field in Freetown, Sierra Leone, as their home ground. The field has recently undergone major renovations, including the installation of artificial turf, and the club is in the process of returning to play there, as they have resumed training on it. This development is a significant step for the club, which was founded in 1928.
