The accused, Ibrahim Samura was arraigned before Magistrate Komba Kamanda to answer to charges with the offence of sexual touching of a child contrary to Section 20 (1) (a) of the Sexual Offence Act No.12 of 2012 and an attempt of sexual penetration of a child contrary to Section 43(a) of the Sexual Offence Act No.12 of 2012. The matter is being prosecuted by Inspector G. Fofanah.
The particulars of the offence on count one alleged that on Thursday 21th August 2014, at Sumalia Town off Pademba Road in Freetown, the accused did touch a girl child under the age of 18 years to wit 16 years in a sexual manner. On the second count of sexual penetration, the accused on the said date and place attempted sexual penetration of a girl child contrary to Section 43(a) of the sexual offence Act no.12 of 2012.
Meanwhile the matter is adjourned to the 4th Novmber,2014.
