According to Mr. Jalloh, right hand vehicles can only be converted by professionals, noting that there are garages in the country that are specialized in converting right hand vehicles to left hand.

He told AYV that there are three important parts on the vehicle that the mechanics should pay great attention to when doing the conversion, they include the dashboard, the pedal and the steering wheel. He maintained that after every conversion the vehicle will be put on test by the road safety authority to ensure its road worthiness, emphasizing that the vehicle should remain in a very good state after every successful conversion.

However, he said that the cost for each conversion depends on the brand of the vehicle adding that if a conversion is not properly done, such vehicle will not function properly.
