The All People’s Congress (APC) Party, has encouraged all its members and supporters countrywide to go out tomorrow 24th June, 2023, cast their votes and return home peacefully.

Former APC Presidential Aspirant, Dr. Richard Konteh informed members and supporters that the Party has successfully deployed 25,000 polling agents nationwide and that they are well-equipped with 25,000 external power packs.

He said the Party has also distributed colored voter register for every polling station and has equipped the stations with trained staff on counting procedure manuals, among other things.

The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL), has addressed concerns raised by the APC Party in relation to the conduct of the June 24, 2023 elections.

“EC-SL has adopted an open-door approach and inclusive participation. At PPLC meetings, the EC-SL discussed electoral activities and policy matters with political parties. On request from political parties CEC and Board of Commissioners meet with political party leadership. EC-SL has had several face-to-face meetings with the APC leadership whenever they raised concerns. Since 2020 EC-SL has worked with three different executives of the APC- Old Executive, Interim Executive, and the current executive. This has created room for information gaps for the current APC administration. EC-SL recently responded to issues raised with EC-SL in respect of voter registration process, Voters Registration cards, release of disaggregated data”.
